In a bizarre crossover event that breaks traditional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized statement, "A strange encounter pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying changes reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden group.

The mission centers on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Metamorphoses

The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Extra Content

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an special katana together with numerous objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
